An Ancient Ayurvedic cream - Shatdhaut ghrit , दादी माँ की क्रीम - शतधौत घृत

Why  ShatDhaut Ghrita is "Amrit" for Your Skin

In the rush of modern chemical-laden skincare, we often forget that the most powerful healing agents have existed for 5,000 years. At Prakriti, we have revived one of Ayurveda’s most sophisticated pharmaceutical processes: ShatDhaut Ghrita (100-times washed ghee).

But we don’t just make it; we nurture it.

1. The Foundation: Sahiwal & Tharparkar A2 Desi cow Ghee

Most "washed ghee" in the market is made from local, mass-produced ghee. Ours begins at our own Gausadan. We use only the A2 Bilona ghee from our indigenous Sahiwal and Tharparkar cows.

  • Sahiwal & Tharparkar: These breeds are celebrated in the Vedas for their Surya Ketu Nadi (a vein that absorbs solar energy), making their milk and ghee exceptionally rich in gold salts and healing minerals.

  • Bilona Process: We hand-churn curd to get butter, then slow-cook it to make ghee. This ensures the butterfat retains its cellular integrity.

2. The Alchemy: 100 Washes in Copper

The Charaka Samhita (the foundational text of Ayurveda) describes a process called Dhauta Samskara.

  • The Ritual: We place our A2 ghee in a pure copper utensil and add purified water. It is then churned 100 times using a copper vessel.

  • Molecular Transformation: This isn't just mixing. The copper acts as a catalyst, and the repeated washing breaks the ghee into nano-particles. This transforms a heavy oil into a light, "cloud-like" whipped cream that can penetrate all seven layers of the skin .

  • The Copper Edge: Copper is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. During churning, trace amounts of copper ions are infused into the cream, helping to boost collagen and heal scars. This becomes bluish- green due to presence of Copper sulphate formed in the process.

3. Infused with Kesar & Gulab Jal

To elevate this "Liquid Gold," we incorporate Kesar (Saffron) and Gulab Jal (Rose Water):

  • Kesar: Known in Ayurveda as a Varnya herb (complexion enhancer), it provides a natural glow and protects against UV damage.

  • Gulab Jal: It acts as a natural coolant, balancing the Pitta (heat) of the skin and tightening pores.

What Ancient Ayurveda Says

The effectiveness of ShatDhaut Ghrita is not a claim; it is a Shastra-proven fact.

"Ghritam shatadhautam pitta-shamanam..."Sushruta Samhita

According to the Sushruta Samhita, ShatDhaut Ghrita is the supreme treatment for:

  • Pitta Shamana: Instantly cooling skin burns, rosacea, and inflammation.

  • Vrana Ropana: Healing wounds, scars, and chickenpox marks.

  • Anti-Aging: Acting as a Rasayana (rejuvenator) that prevents wrinkles by deeply hydrating the deepest tissues.

Why Choose Prakriti?

Unlike commercial brands, we control the entire chain—from the grass our Sahiwal cows eat to the final 100th churn in our copper utensils. No chemicals, no preservatives—just the pure essence of nature. Other companies add binding agent, benzoates and other stuff to make it usable like modern day cream but we keep it natural and raw.
We have many customers experiences which has helped them to cure their pregnancy stretch marks, reduce their wrinkles , increased skin radiance, helped in healing piles wounds and relief in psoriases .
